Monday, July 31st, 2006It happens that you will reach a stage of life when people starts to leave you.
Parting sometimes can be so sudden and before you know it, a part of your life goes with the coffin and into the flames.
Dennis is a little girl whom i taught since my ntu life begin. i taught her for about a year already. Im her first tuition teacher and on the first day of class she’s very shy and im abit nervous. That day, even though my lessons were boring, she didnt doze off. At last, halfway through my second lesson, she dozed off. She made me reinvent my teaching style into one which is encouraging and more exciting. Through her, i learnt alot about how to tuition a child.
i gave her timetable tests and if she gets full marks she gets a rainbow pen. She tried for two weeks to get that pen. i persuaded her to give me her maple name and played with her when she is online. She will call me while playing cos her typing speed is real slow.We worked hard together at getting models right. I was actually hoping to let her mother see her improvment in maths.. i missed her voice and smile .. whenever i say 你的头, she replies, 我的头这里 and starts to giggle.
That week we missed our tuition became the last week she was still alive. I missed monday’s tuition cos i didnt see the message due to message full. we missed friday’s tuition cos we are both sick . we missed monday lesson again cos she faint on her way home and went into coma. Her mother called me and told me her heart stopped twice but managed to save her. 2 weeks later, she was pronouced brain dead and slowly died.
When someone is gone, they take a part of them from us . i arranged two slot for her tuition, now this two slots remain empty.
Life’s so unexpected.
